What is Teachnear?
Teachnear helps you find a teacher for anything you want to learn: math, English, piano, coding, swimming, chess and much more. You can learn in person in your city or online from home.
Does it cost anything to send a request?
No. Searching and sending a lesson request are free. You pay the teacher for lessons at the price shown on their profile, as you agree with them.
What happens after I send a request?
The teacher gets your request in their Teachnear inbox and an email that a new request is waiting. They reply to you directly to agree on the details, such as times, place and price.
How do I choose the right teacher?
Answer the quick questions on the search page and we’ll put the teachers who fit best at the top, with the reasons they match. Read profiles, articles and reviews, and ask about a free trial lesson where it’s offered.
Can I book lessons for my child?
Yes. Create the account yourself as the parent or guardian and send the request for your child. Accounts are for adults (18+). For a young child’s first lessons, we recommend meeting in a safe place and staying nearby.
How do online lessons work?
Online lessons happen live over video. Your teacher sends you a link or tells you which app to use. Filter for online teachers on the search page to see teachers from anywhere.
Are teachers verified?
Profiles are written by the teachers themselves. We don’t check qualifications unless a profile clearly says something was verified. Ask teachers about their experience, and check any background checks or licences that matter to you.
How do I join as a teacher?
Create an account and set up your profile in the teacher panel. You can add your subjects, prices, photos and lesson formats, and write articles for students.
I didn’t get the verification or password email.
Check your spam or junk folder: automatic emails sometimes land there. You can also request a new password link.
I can’t sign in or forgot my password.
Make sure you’re using the email address you signed up with, then use Forgot password. We’ll email you a link to set a new one.
Do you share my information?
We share your lesson request only with the teacher you contact. We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising. Read our privacy policy for details.
How do I delete my account?
Sign in, open Account settings and choose “Request account deletion”, or email support@teachnear.com from your account’s email address.
How do I report a profile, review or article?
Email support@teachnear.com with a link to what you’re reporting. We review reports and remove content that breaks our terms.
